I'll overwhelm 'serious combatant' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-round contest which will be shown live on the streaming platform.

Briton Anthony Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" the American and "defeat" the American as the two fighters came face-to-face to publicize the upcoming boxing match.

Ex two-time unified title holder Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth mismatch - at Miami venue on 19 December.

Fighter's Mentality

"I plan to damage his features and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," the British boxer, 35 years old, declared.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.

"I'm going to really want to cause him pain. That's my goal."

Respectful Exchange

In spite of those words, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - typically recognized for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.

Jake Paul rather criticized ex Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and labeled him "ridiculous" after Ngannou declined a match opportunity.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at UK rival Tyson Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a Paul victory.

"Jake Paul is better than Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua stated.

"I respect him for that."

Legitimate Opponent

Despite stating he plans to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his opponent's pugilistic talent.

"Jake is a serious fighter," he stated.

Jake Paul's History

Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mainly fought MMA fighters or faded names since entering professional boxing.

He lost to British fighter Fury in 2023.

Commercial Success

Nevertheless, the novice remains one of boxing's greatest money-making draws, regularly earning massive financial rewards.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28-year-old anticipated a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would derail the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly being planned for two years from now.

"It will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Paul said.

Physical Difference

As the two fighters participated in the usual stare-down, with their physical disparity evident, it highlighted just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the bout is really proceeding.
